Pictures of Our Congregation
Unity at the Lake is committed to serving the greater Lake community. Our commitment is demonstrated through a number of projects and activities including:
■ Circulation Day - Members annually donate
■ Donations to local food pantry
■ Support of Citizens Against Domestic Violence ■ Prayer support to anyone in need of prayer. ■ Educational programs designed to assist individuals in spiritual growth. We believe that every person is a child of God endowed with the living presence of His spirit. Our commitment is to support one another in the expression of that spirit. In addition, we seek to serve the world community through a consciousness of love and oneness taught by Jesus Christ. We express this through respect for one another and a commitment to peace. Our intention is to do our part through prayer and personal interactions that foster peace among all people. We join Unity School of Christianity and the Association of Unity Churches in standing for peace. "Unity stands for peace in the presence of conflict; for love in the presence of hatred; for forgiveness in the presence of injury. Unity honors the many names for God, the many paths to God, the many ways to worship God; for there is only one power and presence of God and that God loves each one of us equally. It is therefore the position of Unity to urge all nations, their leaders, and their people to turn to God, by whatever the name, for guidance during these challenging times and pursue peace, not war, for this is what honors the God of all our faith traditions. Unity stands for peace in our lifetime." JOINT STATEMENT FOR PEACE issued by Unity School of Christianity and the Association of Unity Churches 2003

The Unity way of life is to live the spiritual principles taught by Jesus Christ. We are committed to providing a place where people can worship, pray, join in group expressions of joy and service, and grow in a greater awareness of God. We are dedicated to maintaining a sacred environment that honors God through our interactions with one another and with nature.
